SAY NO TO RACISM & STERLING!

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has done what was deemed necessary in getting rid of LA Clippers  owner Donald Sangster. Will this action help stop this infectious disease of racism? Maybe not, but it's a start!  Mr. Sangster is a billionaire, with a lot of assets and big time companies to his name, i mean this guy at 80 years old has got it all, all but a brain that is not set on 21st century mode! This isn't the 1700's and I doubt this guy even understood what he said over the phone and how it irked sports fans as well as your everyday civilians, irrespective of race. The ignorance of racism is never one that is analyzed on a point that is deemed honorable or admirable, it is simply distasteful! Sad to say, Sterling isn't the only top figure in the business who shares these views, and this will never stop here until the amendment is done.

Minorities have for years contributed significantly to the development of sports and this is a no brainer! Think of Basketball legends such as Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon, Julius Erving, Charles Barkley, Shaq O'Neal, Kobe and LeBron, just to name a few! They have stamped their mark and are presently stamping their mark as we speak, but in a good way! They day in and day out entertain the loyal fans who spend their hard earned money to enjoy a thrilling game with their friends/family to share a moment that will be cherished for weeks to come! THIS IS SPORTS! It does that, and what I really don't understand is this, why can't money hogs like Sterling see this and recognize that his payroll consists of close to 80% blacks on his team that make his bankroll boost game by game? Are they just tools in his belt, or are they actual 'people' in his old perverted mind? Everyone should be treated the same, EVERYONE! Minorities and non-minorities are the same, they contribute equally, because it's a thing that we like to call 'teamwork'.

I'm not going to make a case of this and say that our white friends are not sometimes subject to racism also, because that would simply not be true! Racism affects everyone, black, white, hispanic, asians, everyone. It's in the workplace, schools, the supermarket, the games, heck, even in church! Racism has to be kicked in the ass, and this only shows that man's thinking simply hasn't evolved at all!  Take for example the professional soccer player from FC Barcelona, Danny Alves, who last Sunday was the latest victim of racial abuse in the middle of a bloody game? Like really? A fan from the opposing team (Villarreal) threw a banana out of ignorance at this guy during the game, but instead of ranting, Alves picked up the banana like a boss and ate a piece and threw it away! This started a heck of a viral all around the web, with players and fans and even politicians united as one, with poses of them eating bananas as well to show support to the fight against racism!

the banana throwing incident from CNN News

Sterling is nothing but an egotistical banana throwing prick and thanks to guys like him, it makes people from around the world reflect on themselves and their surroundings and people like me will only ever wonder how do they let a guy like Sterling out in public? This disease is more than filth, it's sickening! SAY NO TO RACISM! It's as simple as that, and the truth is this, if you aren't able to reflect, and see that you are no different from the guy/girl beside you because she is of a different race from you, then sadly you are no different from a degenerate such as Sterling and the guy who throws bananas at people for a living.

My final message to all the 'Sterlings' out there will be this: GO EDUCATE YOURSELVES!

Thank you...

What's wrong with WWE? #wwe

WWE has been in my life since bloody-hell 1996, and I remembered the first time I was introduced to the story-line of the one and only Shawn Michaels, the greatest superstar ever! The Heartbreak Kid made a return from injury he sustained in the hands of Yokozuna, and who could forget the return? He triumphantly stepped foot int he 1996 Royal Rumble and he won it like a boss! He went on to defeat Bret 'the Hitman' Hart at Wrestlemania 12 in the same year in an Ironman Match, and what a heck of a match! We witnessed the emergence of Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Edge, Triple H, the domination of the Undertaker and Kane, Hulk Hogan, and who could forget Mankind and even Vader? This was when WWE meant something, it was entertaining!

I accept that the attitude era may never be replicated, and that WWE is all about marketing and entertainment on a wide scale, now making an appeal to kids as well as more women in the mix. WWE as a result has watered down the carnage and fun that once made their show 'watchable', to appeal to a general audience. WWE in other words, employed John Cena to take the mantle that was once carried by the likes of the Rock and Shawn Michaels, but really WWE? John Cena is in every sense, monotonous, he simply tries too hard to get a reaction from the crowd by constantly kissing their asses at every chance he gets. Cena somehow doesn't even receive the reaction from the WWE Universe that top superstars in the industry are accustomed to! How can this be? Cena has tried too hard to be recognized, and he has failed terribly at it, and it's not entirely his fault, its Vince McMahon's and the creative team. Plain and simple, the script sucks, and it's like they now want the world to know that wrestling is full-blown scripted.

There was once a superstar by the name of Ryback, he was actually good! This guy was surely on the verge of becoming even bigger than Cena! But what did WWE do to him? They shot his hype from out the sky, using him as just a pawn in their futile attempt at making Cena look like somebody special! This not only harmed Ryback's popularity, and his image, but it also hasn't gotten the result WWE hooped for regarding Cena. Now enters Bray Wyatt, another talented guy who is slowly being wasted away in this effortless feud with Cena. I can imagine WWE are trying to find ways in making Cena once again look good, and they are willing to kill off their upcoming superstars just to let this happen? Pathetic! No wonder CM Punk left! How can you oust a guy who was champ for 434 days, and give his main event spot to a now 'aged' Dwayne 'the Rock' Johnson? Cena simply can't make any match interesting without the exceptional talent and charisma of his opponent, because Cena lacks both talent and natural charisma!

His five moves of doom, boring, dull, repetitive, and most of all, predictable! Cena draws viewers, kudos to that, but it's safe to say his audience don't really include diehard fans like me who loved WWE since the 90's...  WWE has a new guy, Daniel Bryan, and this is exciting seeing them finally give someone else who has actual talent a chance to be the big guy! Bryan already has the fans behind his back, and he is ready to kick ass! The problem is however, WWE is plagued by some real pathetic story-writing! I wish not to continue further until this is fixed, because as of late all I can say is that RAW, Smackdown, PPV events have all been a constant drag, all the way down to the ground! I can barely keep awake for the 3 hours of RAW, which goes to show that Vince and Triple H really aren't doing what's 'best for business' after all! WWE Total Divas is perhaps the only reason I hang on to WWE by just a thread. This is actually my only favorite WWE show I watch with my wife, and we love it! Maybe times have changed, I don't know, but I'm not planning to stick around WWE events for much longer.

TNA would've been the top show, had they been blessed with WWE's promotional prowess, but in time, we will see!

The REAL DEAL? #realmadrid #atleticomadrid

Atletico Madrid vs Real Madrid in the Champions League Final next month! This will be fantastic! The first time a final has been contested between two clubs from the same city?? MADNESS in a good way! Real will have to prove their doubters wrong by sealing a title which has left their grasp since 2002, but easier said than done right? I'm ranting on about the fact that Real are gonna be the REAL DEAL come next month, because simply so, Ronaldo and Bale are on fire, real time fire! They haven't stopped blowing their opposition in pieces simply because they are completely unstoppable at this moment. Atletico however will prove to be their rightful challenge this year as they also are sitting atop the La Liga division as we speak! Showdown in Lisbon 2014 will prove to be one heck of an unfolding, and Diego Costa will look over to Simeone as to what to do next to create more levels of destruction for their rivals!

Off the glorious topic, where did Bayern and Chelsea go wrong?  On paper. you'd perhaps believe these two teams were the favorites to contest the finals instead, but it didn't work out quite as expected.  Mourinho didn't get his tactics wrong for Chelsea, Atletico were simply just better. Torres was the best that Chelsea had up front, a man who oftentimes cuts a dejected figure of a star that once was, and this was one of the reason why Chelsea didn't deserve a finals appearance. If Abramovich is wise, he'd cut his losses and let Torres go as it is, as his value depreciates drastically from season to season. Chelsea also missed Oscar in the heart of the midfield to provide some range creativity alongside Eden Hazard. Simply put, Chelsea lacks creative energy, and they looked a hot mess out there without excuse! Mourinho should take comfort in the fact that they ousted Liverpool on Sunday with their depleted squad, or he would've been widely ridiculed after his shock loss to Atletico at the Bridge.

Bayern Munich were just plain disgraceful! Chelsea gave a fight, Bayern gave up goals after goals, even worse, Cristiano Ronaldo broke the champs league scoring record against them, in their own home turf! Where has Bayern gone wrong? Pep Guardiola is the problem. Make no mistake, this guy has around maybe 16 or so titles as a former Barca manager, and already has the Bundesliga and the UEFA Super Cup, but that just isn't enough. Jupp Heynckes was the mastermind behind Bayern's ruthless domination in club football last season, and it was so great it was ridiculous! He handed Pep a gift, a team of champions, but maybe that was too much pressure on Pep. He didn't adopt well enough to duplicate the success of Bayern in their recent season, thus limiting himself to less achievements. Pep first of all got it all wrong with his methods, his outdated tiki-taka football wasn't what Bayern needed. Why did he even dare change this?? Stupid I must say! Heynckes and Van Gaal developed the winning formula for Munich, it proved to be a bullet for all who opposed them, but now Pep has lessened the effect of the gun. What Guardiola did wasn't a bad thing, after all every manager has his style of play, but to constantly rotate the squad and the formation is simply a call for disaster at this stage. Real Madrid were more than ready and they took Bayern to school, destroying them 5-0 in aaggregate, with 4 of those goals coming from Allianz Arena in Munich! As a Bayern fan, this is distasteful! If losing to Dortmund wasn't bad enough, then imagine this crap?

Pep has earned one more season at the helm, but this will be maybe his last chance, and this may be worse should he lose the German Cup Final. Mourinho may end up trophy-less this season, but he has only re-acquired a mediocre Chelsea side for just under a season, give him time. He has proven his track record once again as a very dangerous man on the touchline, and he is still my pick for world's greatest coach, only perhaps second to Jupp Heynckes...

The final should be a hell of a lot of fun!
